Hello, I’m “That Cassie Chick” and a lot has changed since my first introduction post on this blog some two years ago now. For all of my new readers, (who are more than likely classmates at Uni) here is a little bit about me.
If you haven’t figured it out already, my name is Cassie. I am 18 years old, I have an unhealthy obsession with drummers in bands, and a hatred for people who chew gum like they’re a cow eating grass, oh and the price of parking on campus.
I, like most of you reading have started at the University of Wollongong studying a Bachelor of Journalism/Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies. Both of these degrees include making regular posts to this blog, for classes JRNL101 “Media Reporting and Storytelling”, BCM112 “Convergent Media practices”, and BCM110 “Introduction to Communications and Media“.
I have a keen interest in landscape photography, and wish to combine it with my degree to one day become a photojournalist, travelling the world working for the likes of National Geographic. 
But if that doesn’t work out, Radio presenting is PLAN B.
I previously used this blog as a diary, or inside into my thoughts, however this post marks the change in content (hopefully for the better). I wish to improve on my writing skills and content topics, in conjunction with using this as a professional portfolio of work.
